Wolf Spider with Spiderlings

One morning a friend of mine called and let me know that he had some female wolf spiders in his garden that spiderlings on their backs. You do see female spiders pushing their egg sacs around. After the egg hatches the baby spiders then jump on to her back and stay there for a few days. It was another thing I've always wanted to see so I went straight round.I wanted to stack the images to increase the depth of field and had to do that handheld as the spiders were so skittish. I had to move into position let the spider run away and then wait for it to come back into position slowly. Then I could grab the shots required for the stack!
